What pages should be included on a musician's website?


The pages you have on your website will be determined by your objectives and website mission statement. Here a some pages that you might consider:

1. A home page – includes a text introduction to the website and one or two photographs.

2. About the musician or musicians page – a biography/biographies and photographs.

3. Repertoire – list of music performed.

4. Gallery – images of the musician performing.

5. Media player(optional) – to allow visitors to listen to samples of your music.

6. How to buy (optional) – details on how to buy the CD – either a simple email link, a secure payments system or a link to another online seller.

7. Contact page – details of how to contact the musician.

8. Links page (optional) – a few well chosen links other websites (not too many - you want people to stay on your website, not leave!).

9. Blog (optional) – encourage visitors to return to your site by offering a daily/weekly or monthly update of your musical activities (or anything else!).

9. News (optional) – latest news about the band, musician or music group.
