Template-based websites
A quicker and cheaper way of designing your site is to use a pre-existing template. Using a template means that the coding behind a website is already in place, and the role of the web designer is to customise the template to meet the client's needs.
Because the coding is already in place, pre-designed template based sites are less flexible than bespoke sites. But two sites based on one of our in-house templates can look very different with clever use of graphics and colour schemes.
If you have a need for a large website with quite complex functionality, but a low budget, there are many sites on the internet that offer pre-designed templates - some you have to pay for, some are free. We particularly like Allwebco templates. Allwebco offer a range of templates to suit all types of web needs. But there are many other providers to choose from.
Template customisation by The Website Design Studio
If you opt for a website template, either one of our own or from another provider, we will assess the template and how much customisation is required and provide you with an estimate before we start work.
